The white spots are the space I have left on my hard drive. It is really time to take care of the poor creature

New Orleans: a city still suffering
Friday early morning at 5:00 am we had arrived in New Orleans. After 3 hours sleep and after chipping in a Biest Booster or two as everyday on this energy consuming journey around the world (we had just arrived from LA) we were ready to walk to down-town New Orleans. To me this city appeared to be in a post-war situation: buildings damaged and abandoned, life running in low pace, people in the streets that gave us the impression of being lost in time and space… the Mississippi with its heavy burden of legends that carry this city on their wings… impressive and controversial… between swamps and French quarter, between authenticity and tourist attraction … voodoo, ghosts and blunt reality. Tomorrow I fly back to Frankfurt, a place straightforward without any mystery to me.
Yet another bird scene

Some are eating others have to wait
During my journey around the world I started to get faschinated by birds. They are so intimately interacting with us. Cute little creatures that coexist with us, whether it is a common sparrow or pigeon or a more fancy type of bird, they all got irresistible charm, if you look at them from close.
Sometimes the difference between boys and girls can be huge!
When we came into our condo today in Waikoloa Village on Big Island, Hawaii, first thing was that we were received by a bunch of wild turkeys. It’s mating time here and the guys seem to go wild. They have been right in front of our terrace door overwhelmed by a flood of hormones, so not paying attention to us at all. The birds were even littering in front of our main entrance door. Bonne chance
